We are delighted to share a recording of Dr Yasser Jamei, Director of the Gaza Community Mental Health Programme at the second opening of ‘Café Palestine’ – the virtual meeting place, where Palestinians and internationals from across Palestine and the rest of the world can come together. A disturbing article from the London Review of Books (LRB) that links colonialism and repression with the prevalence of diabetes, linked to a particularly high mortality rate amongst those infected with the coronavirus:

The Supreme Court back the Palestine Solidarity Campaign against the UK Government
We congratulate the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, which through its victory in the UK’s Supreme Court has “managed to defeat regulations that would have stopped Local Government Pension Schemes from divesting from companies complicit in Israel’s oppression of the Palestinian people, and additionally from divesting from the UK defence industry.” This is a significant victory against attempts to criminalize the BDS campaign. Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Day Ceremony
This annual event is organised by the Bereaved Families Forum – Parents’ Circle, and Combatants for Peace: by former soldiers, and the relatives of the victims of political violence, from the Palestinian and Jewish Israeli communities. This year it took place on-line, with an unprecedented audience: it is always the subject of attack, and is organised by groups towards which the Israeli Government is openly hostile. We are informed by an Israeli colleague that this is the only public commemoration of Palestinian losses that takes place in Israel. Public recognition of the losses incurred during the ongoing Naqba is prohibited.
A website that records every death that results from political violence in Palestine/Israel since 2000, while preserving the individuality of each person and detailing the circumstances of their deaths, can be found here:
