| 1. Send a card to Ahmad! 2. The growing attack on Palestinian students 1. Send a card to Ahmad! The campaign to free Ahmad Manasra is gathering momentum! More than 110,000 people have signed the petition calling for his release. Now we are asking you to let Ahmad know he’s not alone by sending him a card. Let the Israeli authorities know that the whole world is watching, by sending them email cards protesting Ahmad’s continued imprisonment. All the details needed can be found below. Join the call made by Ahmad’s mother in this brief video: ‘May God protect him and return him to my embrace’. Background Ahmad was arrested when he was 13. He suffered a serious head injury at the time of his violent arrest and was then subjected to a brutal interrogation. Accused of attempted murder in a trial that contravened legal norms, Ahmad was sentenced to nine and a half years in an Israeli prison. In the ensuing seven years he has been subjected to severe ill-treatment, including extended periods of solitary confinement. His mental health has suffered as a result and he is not receiving appropriate psychiatric care. He is now in solitary confinement again, still in an Israeli jail.
