Just Say Genocide – The Problem of Truth Sadism
This article critiques institutions like the Freud Museum in Vienna for their inability to confront uncomfortable political truths, particularly regarding Israeli aggression and the Palestinian genocide. It argues that inviting speakers with dissenting views, only to later disinvite or restrict their platform, reflects institutional denial and avoidance of reality, underscoring the psychoanalytic concept of “truth sadism”—the difficult reckoning with truths that demand profound personal and societal transformations.

Occupation Forces raid Aida Youth Center (in Aida refugee camp near Bethlehem)
On the morning of Tuesday 3 December, Israeli Occupation Forces raided the Aida Youth Center, ransacking offices, confiscating documents, and leaving threatening posters warning families to prevent their children from engaging in resistance. Despite this alarming crackdown on Palestinian grassroots organizations, the Center remains resolute in its mission to provide education, support, and advocacy for the Aida camp community, inspired by its children and strengthened by international solidarity.
