[… But] In this moment, we are being expected to disconnect and ‘other’ Palestinians, to cut off empathy and immerse in distracting frivolity and faux ‘self-care’. To feel helpless to protect. Accepting genocide as an inevitable condition for anyone is in opposition to our very neurobiology. Genocide Sickness is our bodies’ vehement rejection and resistance to genocide.” #SickFromGenocide https://www.instagram.com/reel/DEgQGsBM304/?igsh=YWI2NHN6cWR4MDFm Please join Amnesty International in calling for Dr. Hussam Abu Safiyeh, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital to be released From Agnes Callamard, Secretary General of Amnesty International The tweet provides detailed information about why Amnesty International has taken up Dr Hussam’s case. https://x.com/AgnesCallamard/status/1875181572166500514 Dr. Hussam Abu Safiyeh’s life in danger due to torture: Immediate international intervention needed for his release Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has received information that Dr. Abu Safiyeh’s health has deteriorated due to the torture he endured during his detention, particularly while being held at the Sde Teyman military base in southern Israel.
