If my hand survives, this is my name”; Gaza’s children under genocide
An article by Gwyn Daniel (UK-Palestine Mental Health Network Steering Group member).
The French version of this article appeared in the January 2025 edition of Palestine Solidarité, the trimestrial magazine of the AFPS (Association France Palestine Solidarité) in a special “dossier” entitled “Palestine en Souffrance”. The dossier also features articles by Dr Samah Jabr and Dr Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian.
The brutal truth behind the suffering inflicted on Gaza’s children over the past fourteen months of genocidal onslaught is that in a settler colonial state, indigenous children are not supposed to have a future.”

It’s Bisan from Gaza, and the rubble is still home
Roofs are on the verge of collapse, walls are missing, and there are health risks everywhere – this is what the people of Khan Younis face as they return to the rubble of their homes after the Israeli army withdrew from the city. Dust from debris fills the air, and every step is dangerous – yet they choose to stay and restore what’s left. As they told Bisan: “A room in my home is better than a palace elsewhere.”

The Palestinian Struggle in the Trump Era

Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions UK Webinar
This webinar will focus on what we consider to be the biggest threat to the Palestinians since the Nakba: Trump’s imminent return to the process of normalisation which will legitimise Israel’s apartheid regime and carries the danger of erasing the Palestinian issue altogether. Jeff Halper, Director, ICAHD, will moderate a discussion with Prof Stephen Zunes, Professor of Politics and International Studies at the University of San Francisco, where he serves as coordinator of the programme in Middle Eastern Studies.

FEATURED ACTION

Write to your MP: UK Government action required by 29 January to prevent Israel’s ban on UNRWA
Organised by the Balfour Project
Unless Benjamin Netanyahu changes course, Israel will compel UNRWA to stop operating in Israel and Palestine (the Occupied Palestinian Territory) by 30 January. Yet more Palestinian civilians will die of hunger in Gaza, and West Bank refugees will suffer grievously. Please write to your MP now to press our Government to work urgently to prevent this destructive action by the Israeli Government. UNRWA is literally irreplaceable in Gaza, and delivers essential health and education services in the West Bank.
