The UKPALMHN Mental Health Spring Tour has been postponed due to the current situation in the Middle East.
The Tour will now take place in the Autumn from:
Monday 26 October finishing on Wednesday 4 November.
This autumn we are offering a 10-day study tour for practitioners from the fields of mental health and social work who are keen to explore the complex interface between politics and psychological well-being in the particular circumstances of Palestine/Israel.
The tour provides excellent access to clinicians, academics, community groups and political analysts with 25 encounters plus additional cultural opportunities scheduled. It will be facilitated by a small UK company established in 1999 that has provided alternative tours to the area. Hotels will be in Bethlehem and Nazareth with additional visits to Jerusalem, Hebron, Ramallah and Jaffa/Tel Aviv. Travel will be in a private comfortable coach with an expert local driver from a licensed bus company. Those wishing to extend their stay at either end of the tour for further exploration will receive expert advice and support.
The cost of £1350 per person, based on 15 paying participants, includes the full tour programme staying at good three-star hotels at half-board (bed, breakfast and evening meal), sharing a twin-bedded room with ensuite facilities, guidance from the tour leader, other day-guides, fees, and tips. Flights, lunches and travel insurance are not included. An additional supplement of £290 is charged for those requiring single room accommodation. A £350 non-refundable deposit along with your booking form will be due once your place is confirmed.
Send your request for an application form to: ukpalmhn@gmail.com. Include your
